Further to Japanese desired penetration of Macao
it is reliably reported Japanese Consul General Hong Kong
has requested interview with Macao Government for Japanese
mercantile interests who have commercial proposals in
addition to waterworks scheme, which should be presented to
Macao Council February 13th this latter scheme includes
catchment area or Colowan Island which has deep water
facilities for shipping. Macao has two excellent available
aerodrome sites which appear to require little improvement.
